New Owl Painting, Greeting Cards and some Illuminated Wall Art!!

It has been a long time since I last blogged so here is a catch up on some of the things that have been happening.

I have a new original painting to show you 'Autumn Owl' which is my last painting of 2012, I actually finished it just before Christmas and but haven't had a chance to share it with you. The original painting is now available to buy in my etsy shop.

 I have two new card designs out with Calypso Cards and I just received my samples and they are adorable and sprinkled in glitter!!!

Also this week the lovely UK card company Cinnamon Aitch launched lots of new Sascalia Card designs at the Top Drawer show in London, so exciting!! Here is a picture of the cards at the London show!!

She Magazine feature my Winter Skater Image on the front cover of their December 2012 issue! They kindly sent me a copy so I can keep it and treasure it!

Another exciting development is that you can now buy some of my artwork as artistic wall lights on this lovely new website called Dianoche Designs. I was approached by one of the owners and loved the concept of illuminated wall art. Here are just a couple of examples of the Sascalia designs available...

New Card Range and a New Painting!

So excited to share with you my new card range with the lovely Cinnamon Aitch Company. The range currently contains 18 designs all hand finished with sparkling gems, wiggle eyes, embroidered daisies and shaped buttons all incredibly sweet! As soon as I get my samples I will post some pictures up.

Two New Paintings Abstract Flowers and a Tree!

A bit late posting these two as they are already sold but here are my latest two paintings. The first is a pretty flowering tree 'Sunlight' and the second some abstract flowers 'Sundance'. The original paintings are now sold but they are available as prints and mounted wood prints in my etsy shop. When I get a chance to take some photographs I will show you my latest licensed Calypso Cards and the first photographs of my licensed women's accessory range. I have received the samples of the umbrella and pendants so I will post pictures of those!!

First Two Paintings of the Year!!

It's been a long time since I posted on here, things have been very hectic with my busiest Christmas season ever and I am so grateful to be doing what I love for a living! 2012 should prove to be the most exciting year so far for me as an artist as I begin to see my new licensed product being launched and work on new projects!!

New Illustration Girl Blowing Bubbles Original Painting

I have just listed this new original painting in my etsy shop of a girl blowing bubbles sitting on a fluffy white cloud. I love the soft pastel tones of this illustration and the whimsical dreamy rain cloud background.

New Woodland Owl and Fawn Art Illustration

After a busy Summer with the children and a lovely two week long holiday to France, routine has returned and I have some time to work on new artwork.
I have a very dreamy woodland illustration of a little fawn and an owl to show you. This illustration was created in a slightly different way to my usual mixed media paintings I first created a 3d paper collage painting of a woodland scene with one of my flowering tree and then I used lighting and took a photograph of the scene and played around with it a bit digitally. I am thrilled with the result I love the dreaminess of it! I hope to do lots more like this in the future it is more time consuming than my collage paintings but I love the result!

New Collage Tree Painting and Some Very Exciting News!!!

I have just listed this new Original Collage Painting in my etsy shop! I'm really pleased with how it turned out! I have some exciting news regarding two separate licensing contracts I have just signed!
One is with Calypso Cards who are licensing five of my designs on greetings cards. These cards are printed on recycled paper and have added glitter on them they are really gorgeous and I am thrilled with the way they turned out.
The other licensing agreement is with a major wholesalers and manufacturers of giftware and women's accessories. They are going to be launching a Sascalia Collection in 2012 of women's accessories including handbags, purses and umbrellas with my artwork on them. I am so excited about these two new and exciting turn of events!! I will let you all know more details very soon!!
