New Fairy Collage Painting!

Here is my newest painting just finished it yesterday. The title is Forest Fairy, the original has been sold but it will be available as a mounted print on wood or as a paper print in my etsy shop. It was quite a challenge painting the fawn, the rabbit and the owl but I'm pleased with the end result.
I am now so fed up with winter and the cold and grey weather! I cannot wait for Spring and I am so looking forward to Summer and growing lots of flowers, fruits and vegetables!!!

New Fairy Painting - Scarlet

I'm very excited about this new painting, it was done on paper and I am going to hold on to the original for now. I first sketched the fairy and the flowers and trees on paper and then I was going to transfer them onto wood as I would normally do but I decided to just go ahead and paint them on the paper. Well I ended up painting and adding detail until 2am in the morning not being able to stop! I'm really pleased with her, she is available as a print mounted on wood in my etsy shop! I have named her Scarlet!

Spring Pony Painting

Here is my latest painting and my last painting of the year! It has been an incredible year for me and a very busy one! Moonlight Fairy Painting

I'm glad to say we are all feeling much better and I have found time to paint and finished this new Fairy Painting. Evening and night time scenes are my favourite , I love the mystery and magic of the Moonlight.

Custom Couple Painting

I have just finished the last of a series of four paintings I did for a family in Newport Beach.
This one is of the couple on their own. I decided to go for a romantic evening setting!
Next I have a tree painting to do for a lady in Moultrie!

New brother and sister custom painting!

Here is a new custom painting I have just finished today. It's of a brother and sister from the same family I did a large painting of.
I have quite a few custom paintings to be done but I am finding it it hard to find the time to fit them in.
The children are only at school for a few hours and often come home from school to a house covered in paint and bits of paper sprawled everywhere and I often turn up at school covered in paint and glue because I have left it to the last minute to leave the house!!!

Hi everyone, I'm back from my holidays and ready to go back to being creative!! I actually really missed it but did visit some nice art galleries whilst away for a bit of inspiration! The prices in the galleries were quite pricey though so no purchases were made!!

We all had a lovely time and the children had fun body boarding in Cornwall although the weather was typically British and it was at times quite chilly, next year we shall go somewhere hot!!

New Custom Mother and Daughter Painting

Here is my new mother and daughter custom painting. I'm very happy with how it turned out but found it hard work taking it on during the children's school holiday so many distractions and stop starts!! Still it is now finished and in three days we are off on holiday to hopefully lots of sun,sea and sand!!! xx

New Mixed Media Portrait Painting - Dream

This the second of my two new original paintings. This one is titled 'Dream'.
I had a disaster with a portrait I was doing on this piece of wood so I decided to just scrap it and paint over it with this distressed peach background and then painted the girls face on top of the background kind of the opposite way to what I usually do which would be to sketch and draw out the face first then paint it and then add the background but this was so much easier I think it will turn out to be one of those things where something goes terribly wrong but you end up learning from it and maybe working out a new way of doing things!

Triptych Tree Collage Lanscape Painting

Here is my newest painting, it's called Forest Trees.
I had wanted to try something different and thought it would be a nice idea to do a triptych tree painting. So here it is!
I can tell you it took a long time to cut out all the collage flowers for the trees!!!!

It was a long and difficult journey finishing this painting and it almost ended up being thrown away as at one point it didn't seem to be going how I wanted it to but in the end here it is and I am happy with the finished result. So I guess perseverance paid off!! I love working on wood as it is so much easier to change and go over areas that you are unhappy with without damaging the painting!
